CHINESE PROVERB

     L.A.F. is a small school established in the city of San Miguel de Allende, Gto., Mexico since July 10, 2000. It was founded by one teacher with a vision, Claudia Guzmán Yáñez, who has more than ten years of experience in teaching languages to different ages and levels of students.

     Throughout the years, L.A.F. has prepared and helped students from different economic backgrounds to learn a second language. Unfortunately, many who had the desire could not afford the lessons. We witnessed this and knew there had to be a better way to make languages available to those seeking to learn! After many long nights of worry and frustration over this issue, a new idea was born:

     L.A.F. has the conviction and desire to help students who don’t have the resources to learn a second language. It is not just about the language, it is about the opportunities that come with it! That is where YOU, the Sponsor, come in. With your help, we can open doors to a new life, work opportunities, and an understanding of the world in which we all live!

• To provide a place where the students can learn a second language in a fun and easy format.
• To teach the culture and traditions of that language, opening minds to a greater world full of wonder and diversity.
• To provide additional academic services in other subjects for students who have special learning needs.
• To change student’s lives by giving them an advantage through Language Learning.

• To teach language skills as well as its mastery.
• To teach values through example.
• To form responsible students with self-confidence, eagerness and ablity to work and live in the world we have today.
